Terms of use
Last updated: October 24, 2026
1. Purpose
These terms govern the use of the BBuilder application ("the App") for iPhone and Apple Watch, distributed free of charge on the App Store, and of the bbuilder.shader.be website. Downloading or using the App means accepting these terms, as well as Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement.
2. Publisher
BBuilder is published by FastoData. Contact: bbuilder@shader.be.
3. Description of the App
BBuilder is a log: it lets you record your strength training programs and workouts (sets, reps, loads, rest), your meals as free text, your dietary supplement intakes and your body weight, and shows progress curves next to the periods when you took supplements. It has no account, no in-app purchase, no subscription and no advertising.
4. Not medical advice
BBuilder gives no advice and no training, nutrition or dosage recommendation, and makes no diagnosis. The curves show what the user recorded; a coincidence between a supplement period and progress does not prove cause and effect. Before starting a training program or taking a dietary supplement, the user consults a doctor or qualified professional if they see fit. Strength training is practiced under the user's sole responsibility.
5. Data
The data entered belongs to the user, who can export it at any time (CSV export). It is kept on the device and on the publisher's server, as described in the privacy policy.
6. App provided "as is"
The App is provided free of charge, "as is", with no guarantee of uninterrupted or error-free operation, of compatibility with any particular device or iOS or watchOS version, or of the future availability of the sync service, of updates or of the App on the App Store. The publisher may modify, suspend or withdraw the App or its server at any time; it will then try to give users time to export their data.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the publisher shall not be liable for:
- the consequences of any training, diet or supplement intake, which the App merely records;
- indirect damage, such as loss of data, in particular after the app is deleted, the device or iCloud Keychain is lost, or the server is interrupted;
- the accuracy of data entered by the user or read from Apple Health;
- malfunctions related to the operating system, the App Store, Apple Health or any third-party service.
As the App is free, the publisher's liability, should it be engaged, is limited to the amount paid for the App, i.e. zero euros. These limitations do not apply where the law prohibits limiting liability, in particular in case of gross or intentional misconduct or personal injury caused by the publisher, and do not deprive consumers of their mandatory statutory rights.
8. Intellectual property
The App, its images, texts and code are protected. They are made available for personal use; any reproduction or distribution beyond that requires the publisher's consent. Reverse engineering and decompilation are prohibited, except within the limits allowed by law. The Barlow, Caveat, Patrick Hand and Kalam fonts are licensed under the SIL Open Font License.
9. Changes
These terms may change. The version in force is the one published on this page, with its update date.
10. Severability
If any clause of these terms is held void or unenforceable, it shall be deemed unwritten, without affecting the validity of the other clauses.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. In case of dispute, an amicable solution will first be sought by writing to bbuilder@shader.be. Consumers may also use a consumer mediator free of charge. Failing agreement, the courts designated by law have jurisdiction; consumers keep the protection of the mandatory rules of their country of residence.
